The cityscapes represent a new period in Marina's art. Inspired initially by cities in Italy like the coloured houses in the Cinque Terre and the cityscapes of Palermo or little white villages in Puglia. The cities or villages are painted in an almost abstract way leaving to the imagination of the observator to fill in the houses and the life taking place in the midst of the colours or white structures.
